My Story so far...
I've written creatively since childhood, often writing poetry or scripts in my spare time. At college and uni I studied drama including playwriting and comedy writing. After uni, I developed a varied career, often managing to weave in writing, editing or proofreading on some level.

After having cancer, I decided to focus more on these skills. I joined a creative writing group and then became the first writer-in-residence for Maggie's cancer care Centre in Nottingham. This, and my growing passion for poetry, inspired me to do an MA in Creative Writing, graduating with distinction.
In my working life, I began to pursue roles specifically focused on writing, editing and proofreading, as well as running creative writing workshops, making audio recordings, working on client memoirs and writing commissioned poems.

My copywriting, poetry, fiction and memoir have been published extensively, and I've been short and longlisted in poetry awards such as the Bridport Prize and Mslexia Women's Poetry Competition. My poetry pamphlet - How not to multitask - was published by Wild Pressed Books in 2021.
Today, I continue to work with a range of charities, businesses and private clients, providing copywriting, proofreading and editing services, as well as pursuing my next poetry project.
